Perspective doesn’t necessarily change what is there. Sometimes it changes what we are able to notice.
We each experience the world from our own place — shaped by where we’ve been, what we’ve learned, and what we can see from where we currently stand. Someone standing somewhere else may see something entirely different, and their view can be just as real as our own.
The fox and raven in this artwork invite us to consider that possibility. On the front, they occupy different places within the same world. On the reverse, the raven has changed where it stands — and from there, the crystal reveals its light in an entirely different way.
Understanding another point of view doesn’t mean giving up our own. It simply means being willing to move, even for a moment, from the place where we’ve been standing.
Sometimes that small shift is enough to reveal something we couldn’t see before.
